Welder/Fabricator

Menzner Hardwoods is seeking a qualified individual for a Fabrication Assistant role at our Marathon, WI location. This full-time position reports directly to the Senior Project Engineer. Second shift hours 2:30pm -10:30pm Monday to Friday with overtime as needed. Second shift has a $0.75 shift premium.

Job Responsibilities Include:

• Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies; reads blueprints.
• Positions or aligns components and parts, either manually or with hoists.
• Uses hand tools or machines to assemble parts.
• Conducts quality control checks.
• Cleans and maintains work area and equipment, including tools.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Mechanical and technical skills
• Physical stamina and strength
• Safety management mindset
• Focus on quality control
• Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components that are often very small
• High school diploma or GED
• Previous manufacturing experience
• Proficient welding experience
• Machining Experience
