Purchasing Agent

Menzner Hardwoods has an opening for a Purchasing Agent on first shift. Hours are 6:30am-2:30pm, Mon-Friday.

As a purchasing agent, you will be responsible for the sourcing and ordering of parts and supplies, managing vendors, and maintaining accurate records. The successful candidate will be able to perform a multitude of strategic procurement activities across various categories of spend.

Purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing is ideal. A background in MRO items relating to manufacturing equipment would be helpful. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to professionally work with a variety of internal and external contacts. Must possess excellent computer skills, and familiarity with ERP systems is necessary.

Responsibilities:

· Prepare, review, and process purchase orders and requisitions for goods and services

· Seek and partner with reliable vendors and suppliers

· Monitor levels of demand across multiple reporting methods

· Maintain accurate files of purchasing records, contracts, and invoices.

· Generate and oversee cycle counting and relay data to Managers

This might be the right fit for you if you have-

· At least 1 year proven working experience in a purchasing role

· At least 1 year experience working with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

· Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management

· Ability to gather and analyze data

· Solid judgement along with decision making skills
