We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Houseplant Specialist to manage and grow our houseplant department. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for plants, design, and customer experience. The Houseplant Specialist will be responsible for curating beautiful displays, maintaining healthy plant stock, and collaborating with the marketing team to showcase our offerings through campaigns, photos, and events.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and grow the houseplant department to meet sales and customer engagement goals.
Communicate regularly with the marketing department by providing photos, ideas, and content for campaigns, promotions, and events.
Rotate stock to ensure healthy, fresh, and appealing inventory.
Design and maintain aesthetically pleasing and on-trend displays that reflect seasonal changes and new arrivals.
Monitor plant health and provide proper care to maintain quality standards.
Assist with planning and executing events, workshops, or promotions related to houseplants.
Stay current with houseplant trends, seasonal needs, and customer interests.
Deliver excellent customer service, offering expertise and recommendations to shoppers.
Obtain pesticide license to spray indoor plants and occasionally in the greenhouses
Work front of house when needed
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of houseplant care and maintenance.
Eye for design, aesthetics, and creating engaging displays.
Excellent communication skills, both with team members and customers.
Creative, self-motivated, and able to adapt quickly to seasonal changes.
Experience in retail, horticulture, or a related field preferred.
