Position: Pipe Layer

Location: Raleigh, NC

Pay: $22–$30/hour

Experience: At least 1 year of experience installing underground utilities or related pipe systems on heavy civil or site development projects.

Education: High School Diploma.

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00/6:00 PM

Greene Resources is seeking a Pipe Layer to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Install and maintain water, sewer, and storm drain systems on heavy civil projects.
• Install ductile iron, RCP, PVC, and HDPE piping systems.
• Set and align pipe to proper line and grade using lasers or hand levels.
• Work alongside equipment operators during trenching and backfill operations.
• Assist with trench preparation, bedding, and grading activities.
• Follow trench protection and jobsite safety protocols at all times.
• Maintain tools, materials, and overall jobsite cleanliness.
• Communicate daily progress with crew leaders and foremen.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Experience working safely around heavy equipment such as excavators and backhoes.
• Knowledge of ductile iron and reinforced concrete pipe installation methods.
• Ability to read grade stakes and follow installation specifications.
• Reliable transportation and ability to commute to job sites.
• Physical ability to work outdoors year-round and lift up to 75 lbs.
• Strong teamwork mindset and commitment to quality workmanship.
