Diesel Fleet Technician

PLEASE NOTE: At least 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment/trucks maintenance is REQUIRED for this role (i.e, forklifts, propane/diesel systems, etc.).

Position: Diesel Fleet Technician

Location: Garner, NC

Pay: $32.50/hour 10% shift differential $5,000 Sign-On Bonus

Experience:

• 5 years of experience working with heavy equipment/trucks maintenance is required.
• 5 ASE certifications or 10 years of vehicle maintenance experience.
  
  

Education:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Associate’s Degree preferred.
  
  

Type: Full-time; Direct Hire

Schedule: Monday – Thursday, 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM; Friday, 1:00 PM TO 7:30 PM

Pepsi Bottling Ventures is seeking a Diesel Fleet Technician to join a growing and dynamic team!

Job Description:

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and repairs on fleet equipment.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel, gasoline, and propane fuel systems.
• Repair air, hydraulic, and electric brake systems.
• Conduct diagnostics and repairs on vehicle HVAC and electrical systems.
• Assist with training and supporting other technicians to improve team performance.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure safe forklift and parts operations.
• Perform welding, equipment handling, and other assigned duties as needed.
  
  

Position Requirements:

• Valid driver’s license; must obtain CDL A within six months of hire.
• Proficient in diagnostic tools and repair equipment.
• Ability to pass a DOT physical within the first 90 days.
• Must provide personal mechanical tools appropriate for the experience level.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Ability to work outdoors and adapt to varying work conditions.
