We're recruiting for a Senior Project Accountant to support complex construction and manufacturing projects in a fast-paced, project-driven environment. This role is a strong fit for someone who enjoys the detail of accounting but wants more than routine close work. You’ll have visibility into active projects, partner with cross-functional teams, and help ensure project costs, reporting, and financial controls are accurate from start to finish.
What you’ll be doing:
- Managing project accounting activities for construction and manufacturing projects
- Tracking project costs, job costing, WIP reporting, and budget-to-actual variances
- Reviewing contractor and vendor invoices for accuracy and contract alignment
- Supporting monthly, quarterly, and annual close, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Allocating labor, materials, and other project-related costs
- Supporting fixed assets, prepaid expenses, depreciation, and amortization
- Maintaining construction material inventory records and cycle count processes
- Preparing project-related financial reports and supporting audit requests
- Helping maintain compliance with internal controls and SOX requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 3 years of construction accounting, project accounting, or Big 4 public accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP
- ASC 606 experience required; ASC 810 is a plus
- Solid knowledge of job costing, WIP reporting, and expense allocation
- ERP or construction management software experience; Oracle NetSuite is a plus
- Advanced Excel skills
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented, precise, and comfortable working across departments

Travel: 20-30% as necessary
Salary : $90,000 - $115,000
