Insurance Coordinator (Dental Office) – Full Time | Chesterfield, VA

Greater Richmond Dentistry is a well-established, fully digital dental practice in the heart of Chesterfield, VA. Our team is growing, and we are looking for a dependable Insurance Coordinator to join us.
What You’ll Do
- Answer incoming phone calls professionally and assist patients with scheduling, rescheduling, and general appointment inquiries
- Schedule and coordinate patient appointments to support efficient provider schedules and patient flow
- Verify dental insurance benefits and accurately enter coverage details into Dentrix to support treatment estimates
- Submit and track dental insurance pre-authorizations and review incoming determinations to ensure accurate treatment estimates
- Present treatment plans based on the dentist’s clinical recommendations and review estimated costs and coverage with patients
- Communicate with patients regarding financial arrangements, scheduling, and follow-up care
- Collaborate closely with the front desk and clinical teams to maintain efficient patient flow and accurate documentation
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA privacy and OSHA safety protocols
- Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a professional and caring demeanor
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of experience in a dental office with insurance coordination responsibilities
- Strong understanding of dental insurance processes, claims submission, and ADA CDT coding
- Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Team-oriented, professional, and patient-focused personality
- Experience with Dentrix required
