What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Feed Sales position at Grant's Farm?
Grant’s Farm is looking for Part Time Team Members to assist with the Animal Feeding experiences. This entry level role is ideal for individuals interested in animal care and customer service. This position will provide our guests with facts about the animals and hit sales targets for milk or grain for the guest feeding experience for the various animals at Grant’s Farm.
Essential Job Duties
- Educating and answering guests’ questions about animals in the feeding experience areas.
- Following guidelines on the safe handling of cleaning animal feed areas and materials.
- Work as a team player to get tasks done.
- Recognizing when an animal may be distressed
- Communicating with care teams with any animal concerns
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Available during the day, nights, weekends and holidays.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- Must be self-motivated and able to multitask.
- Strong sense of personal integrity.
- Attention to detail.
- Team spirit and problem-solving abilities.
- Flexible, adaptable and dependable.
- Desire to learn.
- Strong public speaking skills.
Physical Demands & Work Environment
- Must be able to lift or carry 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to walk distances over uneven terrain.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Must be able to work outdoors in all weather conditions including heat, inclement weather, cold, etc.
