- Operates gang mowers, tractor drawn mowers, and trimming equipment.
- Mows, trims, weeds, plants, prunes, fertilizes and sprays to generally maintain lawns, shrubs, trees, and grounds
- Operates snowplow and other snow removal equipment to remove snow from sidewalks, parking areas, etc.
- Maintains, lubricates, and makes minor repairs and/or adjustments to equipment.
- Assists in laying sod.
- Assists in installing sprinkler systems.
- Assists in a variety of concrete work.
- Other duties as assigned*
- Skilled in use of hand tools, small and large power tools, power equipment, gardening tools, pruning shears, etc.
- Knowledge in loading and securing equipment.
- Skilled in the use of trimming and pruning equipment.
- Basic math skills.
- Basic oral and written communications and interpersonal relations.
- Must keep abreast on changes in techniques relevant to this position
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to speak and/or hear.
- Frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, and crouch.
- Occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel and must occasionally climb or balance.
- Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception.
- Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 100 lbs.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the supervisor, operates and maintains industrial mower and other grounds related equipment to prune, mow, trim and edge grass areas. Repairs sprinklers and related equipment. Operates snowplow and other snow removal equipment to remove snow from sidewalks, parking areas, etc. Performs pre-trip vehicle inspections. May provide training to hourly workers. Attendance, physical presence,and timeliness are required and are essential functions of this position.
