GPD is currently seeking a Corporate Paralegal in our Atlanta, GA office.
Role Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Paralegal Studies or Liberal Arts, and 7 years of experience as a Paralegal with a private law firm or corporation.
- Experience within the Architecture & Engineering field is preferred, but not required.
- Paralegal Certification is preferred, but not required.
- Excellent research, analysis, problem solving and organization skills.
- Ability to work well within a shared services legal team.
- Strong understanding of corporate governance principles.
- Ability to confidentially handle sensitive information.
- Understanding of legal principles relevant to general corporate law.
- Familiar with legal publications with the desire to remain current in profession.
- Understanding of legal technology platforms and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to manage deadlines and work in a fast-paced, tight-knit corporate environment.
- Draft, maintain and review business contracts, aid with regulatory compliance, and keep corporate records current.
- Coordinate, triage and manage projects regarding risk and corporate compliance.
- Oversee claims and document distribution to the appropriate business contacts.
- Provide legal support for the General Counsel.
