We are actively seeking a Senior Estimator with a strong background in heavy civil construction to join a growing and well-established contractor. This is a dedicated estimating role with no project management responsibilities, allowing the individual to focus on what they do best-winning work and driving accurate, competitive bids.
This position offers the opportunity to work on a diverse portfolio of projects including private residential developments, municipal/public infrastructure, and commercial sitework. The company offers a flexible hybrid work environment, with long-term potential for increased remote work flexibility after an initial in-office onboarding and integration period.
Project Types
This position begins with an in-office onboarding and training period to ensure strong integration with the team and company processes. Over time, there is flexibility to transition into a more remote/hybrid schedule, with occasional in-office collaboration expected during the week.

Project Types
- Private residential subdivision development
- Public/municipal infrastructure projects

- Roadway construction
- Earthwork and mass grading
- Underground utilities
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects
- Analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed scopes of work
- Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Utilize estimating software to build and manage bids
- Collaborate with operations and leadership teams to ensure bid accuracy and completeness
- Review project risks, logistics, and construction approach during preconstruction
- Manage multiple bids and deadlines simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain organized estimating files and documentation throughout the bid process
- 5-7 years of estimating experience in heavy civil construction
- Strong knowledge of sitework, earthwork, grading, underground utilities, and roadway construction
- Experience with public works and municipal infrastructure projects preferred
- HCSS HeavyBid and/or Bid2Win experience is required
- Experience with Agtek and/or InSite Earthwork takeoff software highly preferred
- Strong understanding of construction means, methods, and cost structures
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and specifications
- Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently in a hybrid/remote environment

Compensation & Benefits
- Base Salary: $140,000 - $170,000 (depending on experience)
