Position Overview
The HRIS Specialist will serve as a key contributor supporting and optimizing Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking within a large, fast-paced enterprise environment. This individual will partner closely with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to enhance system functionality, improve payroll and workforce processes, and support ongoing Workday optimization initiatives.

Responsibilities
- Serve as the subject matter expert for Workday Payroll, Absence, and Time Tracking
- Configure, maintain, and enhance Workday business processes, condition rules, notifications, audits, and payroll-related workflows
- Support semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll processing, including off-cycle payrolls and year-end activities
- Manage and support Certified Payroll Reporting (CPR) solutions and compliance reporting
- Partner cross-functionally with HR, Payroll, Finance, Operations, and IT teams to improve system performance and operational efficiency
- Develop and maintain Workday reports, dashboards, calculated fields, and analytics
- Troubleshoot Workday system issues, integrations, and third-party vendor connections
- Support Workday releases, upgrades, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure HRIS data integrity, governance, security, and compliance
- Provide end-user support, training, and documentation
Qualifications
- Hands-on Workday Payroll expertise
- Experience supporting Workday Absence and Time Tracking modules
- Strong understanding of payroll operations including gross-to-net processing, overtime, retro pay, garnishments, taxability, and FLSA compliance
- Experience configuring payroll earnings, deductions, pay groups, period schedules, accruals, leave plans, and time tracking rules
- Experience supporting mid-to-large scale Workday environments with multi-state or multi-entity payroll operations
- Ability to develop reports, calculated fields, test scripts, and functional documentation
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
- Experience supporting HRIS governance and data quality initiatives
- Workday certifications in Payroll, Time Tracking, Absence, or HCM highly preferred
- Experience with Workday integrations and third-party vendor management huge plus
- Exposure to Jira, Agile, or related project management tools

Salary : $105,000 - $135,000
