Business Development Representative – Architectural Products (Design-Focused Role)

Are you currently working in architecture, interior design, or the commercial construction space-and looking to take your career in a new direction?

G&S Architectural Products is seeking a Business Development Representative with a design background interested in applying their experience in a client-focused role. This position allows you to stay closely connected to the design and construction community while working across multiple projects, firms, and markets simultaneously

Why This Role is Different

  • From Single Projects to Regional Impact Instead of focusing on one project at a time, you will influence dozens of projects across the region, working with architects, designers, and contractors to get G&S products specified.
  • Design Business Development Leverage your design knowledge in a client-facing role that blends technical understanding with relationship building and sales strategy.
  • Product Development Involvement Your insights from the field will directly contribute to new product development and innovation, helping shape what we bring to market.
  • Marketing Collaboration Work closely with our Marketing Manager to develop new and creative ways to engage the design and construction community, including presentations, CEUs, and campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain relationships with architects, designers, and contractors
  • Promote and position G&S products to be specified on commercial construction projects
  • Conduct presentations, product education sessions, and CEU programs
  • Identify and track project opportunities across the region
  • Collaborate with internal sales teams during project bidding phases
  • Provide feedback and insights to support product development initiatives
  • Partner with Marketing to enhance brand presence and outreach strategies

Ideal Candidate Background

  • Experience in architecture, interior design, or commercial construction
  • Strong interest in transitioning into a business development / client-facing role
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to understand and discuss technical product applications
  • Self-motivated with a proactive, positive approach
  • Interest in being part of a growing, employee-owned company
