General understanding of electronics at the circuit board level. General understanding of microprocessors. Knowledge of SMART System preferred. These skills are typically acquired through the completion of an A.A. degree in Electronics and one year slot repair experience, or through a minimum of two years progressive slot repair experience.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills.
Language Skills
Must be able to speak and understand English.
Physical Demands

Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electronic slot machine malfunctions.
- Replace parts and circuit board which have caused malfunctions; may repair some circuit boards.
- Utilize shop machines to fabricate standard or routine parts.
- May act as a specialist in either mechanical or electronic areas.
- May provide training to lesser experienced technicians or trainees.
- Maintain skill levels in mechanical and electronic functions and develops expertise required by new technologies for slot machines.
- Perform general and preventive maintenance slot machine inspection and machine moving and installation in accordance with established procedures.

- Slot Repair experience required.
- Knowledge of OASIS System preferred. These abilities are typically acquired through a minimum of four years progressive experience in Slot Operations, or through equivalent experience in maintenance operations or a related field.
- Communicate with all levels of employees.
- Identify different denominations of gaming chips and currency and to count and stack chips and currency.
- This position is at times subjected to hazards such as electrical shocks.
- Inspect and maintain areas for which responsible.
- Review and comprehend all necessary documentation.
- Lift up to 50 pounds and move up to 125 pounds so as to be able to reach all areas of machines in need of repair and move machines around work area as needed.
- Must be able to work with a complete range of radio frequency, high voltage, mechanical and pallet jacks, hand trucks, electronic diagnostic and repair equipment including Bally Test Equipment, IGT Test Equipment, other diagnostic and repair equipment such as oscilloscopes (signal tracing with A-B comparisons and external trigger), monitor pattern generators, CRT rejuvenator, EPROM checker-programmer, SMART System, all machine testers (troubleshooting major boards to component level) AC and DC supplies (to locate over-current conditions), power supply testers, probes, soldering stations, heat guns, tube rejuvenators, emulator processors and a variety of hand tools, drill presses, grinders, other high speed component rotary appliances, arc and gas welders.

- Ability to sit for extended periods of time.

- Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift.
- Frequently stooping, reaching.
- Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
- Work with others in close spaces.
- Moderate to high noise levels.
- Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.
