Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Represents the department and company, interacting with guests and employees in a courteous and professional manner.
- Reads, interprets, and analyzes security reports and other company documents daily and identifies whether further investigation is necessary and completes investigations as needed.
- Conducts complete and thorough investigations for a variety of internal and external incidents.
- Monitor incidents resulting in loss and investigates to determine the source of the loss.
- Creates detailed reports to reflect findings of safety and security investigations and reports these findings to the Director of Security/Security Manager.
- Reports suspicious activity and safety concerns to the Director of Security/Security Manager.
- Conducts professional investigative interviews of employees.
- Effectively uses/deploys a variety of company programs, systems, and equipment to complete investigations.
- Observes and monitors for potential violations of safety regulations, company policy or law, and suspicious activities of guests and employees.
- Maintains a working knowledge of the property to effectively conduct duties and assist guests and fellow employees.
- Makes suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate to help reduce loss, maintain a safe and secure environment and for improved policies and procedures.
- Works closely with employees of the Security Department, Surveillance, Risk Management, Human Resources, and other departments during their day.
- Held accountable and to a high degree for the accuracy and thoroughness of investigative reports, records, and evidence.
- Conducts fire extinguisher expiration inspections.
- Conducts safety walks about property to identify safety issues in offices, corridors, etc.
- Conducts equipment safety checks to identify safety issues with company equipment such as frayed cords, missing ground prongs on plugs, etc.
- Conducts safety and security training for all company employees.
- Schedule hearing tests annually for the appropriate staff
- Conducts PPE inspections and enforcement (non-covid related)
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested.

- Ability to remain calm and make reasonable decisions, including during high stress situations.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Ability to use CCTV for extended periods of time.
- Ability to understand and maintain knowledge of company and department rules, policies and procedures, city and state laws, safety regulations, gaming regulations and labor laws.

- Must pass company and Nevada Gaming background investigation.
- Current Alcohol Management Certification

- OSHA 30 Hour General Industry Course
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- PLEASE NOTE: THIS POSITION REQUIRES A GAMING LICENSE BY THE NEVADA GAMING CONTROL BOARD
