POSITION SUMMARY
As Delivery & Technology Lead (Associate Director / Director), you’ll define and drive the agency’s approach to marketing and advertising technology. This role combines strategic leadership, client consulting, and hands-on oversight of technical solutions — from marketing tech stacks and data pipelines to analytics integrations and ad tech.
You’ll serve as a trusted partner to senior clients and an internal champion of technical innovation, ensuring the agency and our clients are equipped to succeed in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Technology Leadership: Define the agency’s technology roadmap, guiding adoption of martech, ad tech, and analytics platforms that enable smarter marketing.
- Client Consulting: Advise senior client stakeholders (CMOs, CTOs, Heads of Marketing) on technical strategy, platform selection, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Systems & Integrations: Oversee implementation and integration of key platforms — CRM, CDP, DAM, CMS, analytics, ad servers, DSPs — ensuring scalability and performance.
- Data Strategy: Partner with analytics leads to design data architecture, tagging frameworks, and measurement systems that fuel insights and ROI.
- Innovation: Identify and test emerging technologies (AI tools, automation platforms, creative tech, new ad formats) and advise on adoption.
- Governance & Privacy: Ensure compliance with data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and oversee security and governance best practices.
- Collaboration: Work closely with creative, media, and analytics teams to embed technology into campaign planning and execution.
- Leadership: Mentor technical specialists, manage vendor/partner relationships, and scale the agency’s technology function as the business grows.
- New Business: Contribute to pitches and proposals, defining technical solutions and delivery frameworks that differentiate the agency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 10 years of experience in marketing technology, advertising technology, or technical program leadership (agency or consultancy experience strongly preferred).
- Proven ability to lead technical strategy and advise senior client stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of martech and ad tech ecosystems (e.g., Google Marketing Platform, Salesforce, HubSpot, Adobe Experience Cloud, CDPs, DSPs).
- Experience with analytics and tagging frameworks (GA4, GTM, Tealium) and data integrations (APIs, cloud platforms, data lakes).
- Strong understanding of CRM, personalization platforms, and customer data strategies.
- Familiarity with AI-driven tools, workflow automation, and creative technology solutions.
- Knowledge of privacy regulations and governance best practices.
- Exceptional communication skills — able to simplify technical topics for executives and non-technical audiences.
- Leadership experience building and scaling technical or cross-disciplinary teams.
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with a passion for innovation and a bias toward action.
