Hiring: Manufacturing / Industrial Engineer (Production Line Design & Launch)

We are seeking a high-impact Manufacturing/Industrial Engineer to lead the design, layout, and build of new production lines and manufacturing cells. This is a 12-month project focused on taking line concepts from initial design through a successful shop-floor launch.
🛠️ The Challenge
You will be responsible for defining how our products are built—from process flow and staffing to material presentation (Kanban) and equipment needs. Your goal is to deliver a balanced, takt-based production line that hits safety, quality, and cost targets.
🎯 Key Responsibilities
Line Design & Layout: Develop 2D/3D layouts to optimize space, flow, and ergonomics while planning for utilities (power, air, network).
Work Measurement: Conduct time studies to establish cycle times, define standard work, and build staffing models.
Line Balancing: Utilize Yamazumi and bottleneck analysis to distribute work evenly and validate labor assumptions.
Material Flow: Implement pull systems, including Kanban sizing, supermarket concepts, and point-of-use replenishment.
Launch Readiness: Partner with Quality on control plans and PFMEAs; coordinate with Maintenance on PM schedules and spare parts.
Continuous Improvement: Drive post-launch optimization using data (scrap, downtime, rework) and Lean tools (5S, VSM, Kaizen).

Experience: 6 years in a manufacturing/plant environment with a focus on line design and production launches.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent experience).
Lean Mastery: Deep understanding of Kanban, pull systems, standard work, and waste identification.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in performing time studies and translating data into capacity recommendations.
Tools: Strong Microsoft Excel skills; experience with AutoCAD or 3D layout tools is highly preferred.
Bonus: Six Sigma Green Belt or formal problem-solving (A3, 8D) experience.
