Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Color Matcher to lead quality control testing and ensure precise color accuracy for all manufacturing batches. You will be responsible for providing technical adjustment instructions to the production team to meet strict customer standards while maintaining full compliance with GMP and FDA regulations.
Core Responsibilities
- Quality Control & Testing: Conduct comprehensive testing on liquid and powder formulations, including color matching, odor, texture, viscosity, pH, specific gravity, and moisture content.
- Batch Adjustments: Calculate and provide precise adjustment instructions to the manufacturing team; oversee "color cuts" and troubleshoot problematic formulas to ensure Right First Time (RFT) approval.
- Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulous batch records and Certificates of Analysis (COAs) in accordance with OTC and GMP requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Attend daily manufacturing meetings to report on batch status and collaborate with Compounders and Quality teams to resolve any rejections or non-conformance cases.
Requirements & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Option A: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 1 years of experience in cosmetics or food manufacturing.
- Option B: High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relatable experience in cosmetics or food manufacturing.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Expertise in color theory and the ability to make high-stakes judgment calls on pigment adjustments.
- Strong understanding of GMP, FDA, and regulatory documentation standards.
- Proven ability to manage production schedules and mitigate formula issues before they impact output.
- High level of accuracy and consistency in color matching results.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Maintain a 0% target for color-related customer complaints.
- Achieve high RFT (Right First Time) approval rates and minimize internal rework.
