Seeking a Raw Material Weighing Technician to work in the Orlando area.
The Raw Material Weighing Technician is responsible for the accurate weighing, measuring, documenting, and handling of raw materials used in a manufacturing environment. This role ensures materials are properly identified, traced, and prepared for production while maintaining compliance with quality standards, safety requirements, and established operating procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Pull, weigh, stage, and return raw materials required for production batches.
- Verify raw materials against batch records and production documentation.
- Accurately record lot numbers, expiration dates, quantities, and other traceability information.
- Maintain complete and accurate batch records throughout the manufacturing process.
- Perform mathematical calculations and unit conversions to determine material requirements.
- Identify and report documentation discrepancies or inventory issues.
- Operate and maintain scales, weighing equipment, and other material handling equipment.
- Collect, label, and prepare samples for testing or shipment.
- Transfer approved raw materials into and out of designated inventory locations.
- Utilize inventory management software to locate materials, verify inventory levels, adjust inventory, and receive materials.
- Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Perform cycle counts and annual inventory counts.
- Support production personnel to ensure materials are available when needed.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Quality and Compliance Responsibilities
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and all established procedures.
- Adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelines.
- Maintain the integrity and quality of raw materials and inventory.
- Report quality concerns, discrepancies, or non-conforming materials.
- Participate in continuous improvement and quality initiatives.
- Maintain compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written procedures and specifications.

Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, inventory control, materials handling, or quality-related role.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment preferred.
- Forklift and pallet jack experience preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
