QA Inspector

Growing food and beverage manufacturer specializing in gourmet ice creams, frozen desserts, and plant-based products. Our facilities are certified and focused on high-quality ingredients, food safety, and scalable production for national and international partners.

Position Summary

The QA Technician ensures that all raw materials, in-process production, and finished products meet quality and food safety standards (GMP, SQF, FDA). This role is essential in maintaining compliance and supporting production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Quality & Inspection

• Perform incoming raw material inspections (dairy, flavors, inclusions, packaging)
• Conduct in-process checks (temperature, weight, labeling, fill accuracy)
• Inspect finished goods for compliance with product specifications
• Monitor production lines to ensure adherence to GMP and food safety standards

Documentation & Compliance

• Complete and maintain QA records, batch records, and inspection logs
• Verify compliance with SQF, HACCP, and FDA regulations
• Assist with internal audits and regulatory inspections
• Track and report non-conformances and deviations

Testing & Monitoring

• Perform basic quality testing (pH, viscosity, sensory checks, temperature logs)
• Monitor sanitation processes and environmental controls
• Ensure proper allergen controls and labeling accuracy

Collaboration

• Work closely with production, sanitation, and warehouse teams
• Communicate quality issues and support corrective actions
• Assist with training staff on quality and food safety procedures

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of QA experience in food, beverage, dairy, or pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, or FDA regulations
• Experience with raw material inspection strongly preferred
• Ability to work in cold/freezer environments
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Basic computer skills (Excel, ERP systems a plus)
