Job description:
We are currently seeking a Lab Specialist to join a growing aggregates and construction materials operation in Medley, FL. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity for someone who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and experienced in quality control and laboratory testing.
Location: Medley, FL
Pay Rate: $22.00/hour
Shift: Night Shift (9:30 PM – 5:30 AM)
Position Type: Temp-to-Perm

Responsibilities:
- Perform sampling and testing of aggregate materials to ensure product quality and specification compliance
- Enter and interpret testing data in computer systems
- Coordinate and release shipments for FDOT certification
- Communicate quality trends and test results to production and operations teams
- Work alongside FDOT personnel for sampling and verification testing
- Maintain records and reporting in compliance with FDOT requirements
- Provide technical support to production, sales, and customers as needed
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure safe work practices
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma, GED, or 3 years of related experience
- Knowledge of FDOT testing methods preferred
- ACI Aggregate Field and Laboratory Testing Technician certification or ACI Aggregate Testing Technician Level I preferred
- Strong math, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including walking, kneeling, crouching, and crawling
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Valid Florida Driver’s License required
