What You’ll Do
- Set up and operate CNC mills (3 and 4 axis) and CNC lathes (2 axis)
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and part specifications
- Perform machining calculations using algebra, geometry, and trigonometry
- Machine components to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments
- Troubleshoot machining or tooling issues to maintain production flow
- Adjust tooling, offsets, and programs as needed
- Maintain machine cleanliness and perform routine maintenance checks
- Manage workflow and meet production deadlines
- Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
- Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding production needs
- Minimum 3 years machine shop experience
- Strong CNC mill and lathe operation skills
- Ability to read blueprints and understand machining specifications
- Strong math and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of tooling, feeds, speeds, and material behavior
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to adapt to changing production priorities
