Duties
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, ensuring cleanliness and readiness for patient use
- Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises under the supervision of licensed therapists
- Support therapists with documenting patient progress and updating treatment records accurately
- Help manage patient intake processes by gathering relevant medical history and verifying insurance information
- Maintain safety protocols by monitoring patient comfort and responding promptly to their needs during therapy
- Restock supplies and ensure all therapy tools are sanitized and organized for efficient use
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient schedules and facilitate smooth clinic operations
Skills
- Strong commitment to patient service and compassionate care delivery
- Basic knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to physical therapy
- Previous hospital or clinical experience, especially in inpatient or outpatient settings
- Familiarity with acute care, post-acute care, orthopedics, geriatrics, and sub-acute care environments
- Ability to assist with intake procedures and support patients through their therapy journey
- Experience working in hospital medicine or outpatient clinics is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare professionals and patients alike
