Georgetown Public Schools (GPS) has two schools - Georgetown Middle/High School (grades 6-12) and Penn Brook Elementary School (PK-grade 5). The ESY program is small (less than 35 students) and orientation will be provided prior to the start of the program.
Seeking a nurse for the five week summer program: 07/06/26-08/06/26, Mon-Thu, 08:00-13:00 (5 hours per day).
Preference given to candidates who are able to work all or a large portion of the program. However, there is flexibility in scheduling - sign up for all five weeks, two weeks or the same day for all five weeks. We’ll work with you to make the schedule work for all of us!
Rate of Pay: $70.00 per hour or FY26 GEA hourly rate for bargaining members
The ESY School Nurse will be responsible for direct and indirect care given to students in compliance with school district policies, professional standards of practice, physician’s orders, and the Individual Health Care Plan.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Fulfills School Nurse responsibilities during the ESY program
Provide routine medical care and dispense medication
Provide first aid treatment to students for injuries
Interpret the health status of students to parents &/ school personnel
Notify parents of illness and accidents and fill out appropriate accident form
Keep daily electronic log of students seen in health room (SNAP EMR)
