There is an open position in the Georgetown Public Schools.POSITION: Teacher, Elementary - KLOCATION: Penn Brook Elementary SchoolSUPERVISOR: PrincipalANNUAL SALARY: Salary and benefits per Georgetown Education Association contract.START DATE: start of the 2026/2027 School Year (August 2026)WORK YEAR: 184 days, the school year & professional development daysIDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate should: Be energetic, motivated individual to work with collaboratively with the grade level team members.Have a strong background in the content area Be passionate and enthusiastic educator who can motivate students to discover their creative potential.QUALIFICATIONSPrevious experience in working with middle school students in a public school setting preferredAble to take direction from subject SupervisorAble to assess students and effectively plan instructionPossess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to successfully collaborate with colleagues.Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills are a must.JOB REQUIREMENTSBachelors Degree required, Masters Degree preferred.Certified in Massachusetts as Elementary 1-6 or Early Childhood PK/K to Grade 2 REQUIREDKnowledge of curriculum frameworks or Wit & Wisdom curriculum, preferred not necessaryKnowledge of MCAS preparationSALARY & BENEFITSPer agreement between the Georgetown School Committee and Georgetown Education Association.Eligible for health insuranceContractual sick days and personal days
