We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Senior Staff Accountant to join our clients growing hospitality organization in Newport Beach. This role will support daily accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end close processes across multiple hospitality entities. The ideal candidate has a strong accounting foundation, hospitality experience (preferred), and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations
- Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash management activities
- Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Coordinate with property-level teams and operational managers
- Support external audits, including preparation of schedules and documentation
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 2 years of accounting experience, preferably within hospitality, real estate, or multi-entity environments
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial statements
- Proficiency with accounting systems and Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas)
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

Salary : $70,000 - $90,000
