Overview
This role is responsible for supporting and maintaining database systems that power key business applications. The position focuses on ensuring database reliability, performance, and security while also supporting reporting, integrations, and data management initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and monitor relational database environments to ensure stability and performance.
- Optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
- Develop and maintain data integrations, reporting extracts, and automated data processes.
- Support enterprise reporting solutions and dashboards.
- Manage database backups, recovery procedures, patching, and upgrades.
- Troubleshoot performance issues and resolve system or data-related problems.
- Assist with database migrations across servers and cloud environments.
- Maintain security controls and access management for database systems.
- Document system configurations, processes, and data flows.
- Participate in on-call support and assist with after-hours maintenance when needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Several years of experience managing SQL-based database systems in enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of database performance tuning, reporting tools, and integration technologies.
- Experience with scripting or automation tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms is a plus.
