We are partnering with a leading financial services firm to identify a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role will focus on corporate accounting and financial reporting, with direct exposure to SEC filings and collaboration with internal reporting teams.
The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in U.S. GAAP, experience in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work across technical accounting and reporting requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the month-end and quarter-end close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis
- Contribute to the preparation of SEC filings (10-K, 10-Q, and related disclosures), working closely with the financial reporting team
- Ensure financial statements are prepared in compliance with U.S. GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Research and apply accounting guidance for complex transactions and new standards
- Partner with internal teams across accounting, FP&A, and operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting
- Assist with external audits and coordinate with auditors on key deliverables
- Support process improvements and enhancements to strengthen reporting accuracy and efficiency
- Maintain strong internal controls and assist with documentation in line with compliance expectations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- 3 years of relevant experience, ideally within a financial services firm or a top-tier public accounting environment
- CPA license preferred (or active progress toward certification)
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting concepts
- Experience with alternative investments (e.g., private equity, hedge funds) is a plus, but not required
- Familiarity with partnership accounting, audit, and tax concepts is beneficial
