We are partnering with a highly respected global organization in the luxury travel space to hire a Payroll Accountant for its Chicago team.

What You'll Do
This is a hands-on payroll and accounting position where you'll have exposure to both U.S. and international operations.
You'll be responsible for:
- Managing and processing payroll for employees in the U.S. and internationally.
- Ensuring payroll is completed accurately and on time.
- Preparing payroll-related journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Reconciling payroll activity to the general ledger.
- Reviewing payroll reports and researching discrepancies.
- Managing payroll deductions, taxes, benefits, garnishments, and retirement-related activity.
- Maintaining accurate payroll records and supporting documentation.
- Assisting with payroll-related audits and compliance requirements.
- Working with employees and internal teams to answer payroll questions and resolve issues.
- Partnering with outside payroll providers when necessary.
- Helping improve payroll processes, controls, and reporting.
- Assisting with weekly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end payroll activities.
- Working closely with Accounting, Finance, and Human Resources.
What They're Looking For
- Approximately 4–6 years of payroll and/or payroll accounting experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Experience working with ADP is highly desirable.
- International payroll exposure is a plus.
- Understanding of payroll-related journal entries, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting.
- Good Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
- Someone organized who can manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative personality.
- Someone who enjoys being part of a team and providing great internal customer service.
Salary : $75,000 - $85,000
