We’re partnering with a growing CPA firm in the Des Plaines area that is looking to add an Accountant to their team. This role offers a great mix of tax, bookkeeping, and client accounting services, supporting individuals, small businesses, and closely held entities across a variety of industries.
Responsibilities include preparing individual and business tax returns, assisting with tax planning, managing bookkeeping functions, bank and account reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger maintenance, financial reporting, payroll support, and assisting clients with monthly and quarterly closes. This person will also work directly with clients to provide ongoing accounting support, answer questions, and help maintain accurate financial records throughout the year.
The ideal candidate will have:
• 0–2 years of public accounting experience or public accounting internship
• Experience with tax preparation, bookkeeping, and client accounting services (CAS)
• Strong knowledge of QuickBooks and accounting software such as UltraTax or CCH
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• CPA or CPA track preferred
