Job Description
*Note the Technician selected for this requisition will need to travel often between Greenville, SC and Commerce, GA to service customers.
As a Senior Service Technician, you are the face of our business, and who our customers turn to first when they have a concern with their industrial Refrigeration system. Senior Service Technicians are responsible for providing troubleshooting and repair expertise in addition to aiding our customers in the maintenance of their refrigeration systems. Senior Service Technicians are expected to remain up to date on industry knowledge and changes, ensuring you can provide the highest level of support. As a Senior Service Technician, you are expected to maintain a high level of professionalism throughout your day as you interact with customers, employees, and vendors.
Qualifications:Role and Responsibilities
- Diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions.
- Perform installation, inspection, troubleshooting, repair and preventative maintenance on HVAC/R equipment.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to junior service technicians.
- Maintain detailed and accurate service records and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, company standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Interface with customers to explain technical issues, service procedures, and recommendations clearly and professionally.
- Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to provide feedback and improve service processes.
- Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies.
Qualifications and Required Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Refrigeration service experience providing routine and emergency troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance support to include a working knowledge of screw and reciprocating compressors, electrical and controls/alarm systems, evaporators, condensers, valves, motors, and pumps.
- CIRO and CARO required, CRST preferred.
- OSHA or safety training certification.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and leadership abilities.
- Universal EPA Certification
- Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and industry safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and maintain productivity with little supervision.
- Proficiency in effective communication information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information with others within the company as well as externally to customers and vendors.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record.
- Ability to be on-call and respond to customer needs outside of normal working hours, as needed.
- Ability to work weekends and/or travel overnight, as required.
- Must have a team player attitude and be a self-starter.
- Strong organizational skills and resourceful problem-solving skills.
- Position requires pre-employment drug screening and background check.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be willing and able to work in various work environments to include both inside and outside locations at varying temperatures.
- Ability to work while standing for extended periods of time.
- Lifting and carrying tools, materials, and equipment.
- Extended periods of working overhead, stretching, bending, climbing stairs and/or ladders required.
