OverviewWe are in the process of transitioning our IT team and are seeking a dependable, service-oriented specialist who is hands-on, responsive, and motivated to improve and modernize our systems.
General Pipe Cleaners needs a reliable, motivated IT Support Specialist to be the front line of our rebuilt IT operation. You’ll be the first person people call when something isn’t working, and your job is to fix it fast and fix it right. You’ll support roughly 120 employees across office and manufacturing environments across 220,000 sq ft of facilities.
This role isn’t just about closing tickets. The right person will grow into deeper responsibilities over time — from supporting our ERP system to helping with infrastructure projects, automation, and technology rollouts. How far you go depends entirely on how much you want to take on.

Our McKees Rocks facility runs the full operation from raw material to finished goods, with technology needs spanning the office, the production floor, and the warehouse.
ResponsibilitiesDay-to-Day Support- Serve as the first point of contact for all IT support requests across the company, including office staff, production floor workers, and warehouse employees
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, and connectivity issues quickly and thoroughly
- Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, label printers, barcode scanners, and other equipment
- Support mobile devices and specialized manufacturing-floor hardware
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls across all systems
- Escalate complex issues to the IT Director and follow through to resolution
- Provide hands-on support for Google Workspace, including Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Calendar, and Meet
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and users as needed
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding, including account creation, device setup, and access provisioning
- Support day-to-day use of Infor SyteLine (CloudSuite Industrial), our ERP system, as you learn the platform
- Help maintain shared drives, groups, and organizational structures within Google Workspace
- Assist the IT Director with network maintenance, hardware deployments, and infrastructure projects
- Maintain clear, updated documentation for systems, procedures, and common troubleshooting steps
- Help monitor system performance and flag issues before they become outages
- Support cybersecurity practices, including password policies, multi-factor authentication, and safe computing habits
- As your skills develop, take on deeper involvement in ERP support, EDI integrations, automation projects, and system administration
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field required; associate’s degree with strong relevant experience will be considered
- 2 years of IT support or helpdesk experience
- Strong troubleshooting skills across hardware, software, and networking
- Experience with Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Calendar; Admin Console experience is a plus)
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications and support
- Comfortable in a Windows environment with working knowledge of basic networking (Wi-Fi, Ethernet, DNS, DHCP)
- Ability to support users at all technical levels, from office staff to production floor workers
- Strong organizational skills and attention to follow-through
- Patient, approachable, and able to manage multiple requests simultaneously
- Experience supporting users in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Infor SyteLine or CloudSuite Industrial
- Exposure to Google Workspace Admin Console for user and device management
- Basic scripting or automation skills (Google Apps Script, PowerShell, or Python)
- Experience with label printers, barcode scanners, or production-floor hardware
- Certifications such as CompTIA A , Network , or Google Workspace Administrator
