As a Field Service Technician, you’ll be at the heart of our customer success—installing, testing, and supporting cutting-edge inspection machines utilized across industries including automotive, aerospace, military/defense, pharmaceutical, and more.
No two days are the same, and your contributions directly impact our customers' efficiency and quality.
What You’ll Do:
- Travel to customer locations (U.S. and international!) to install, troubleshoot, and maintain inspection systems
- Train customer teams on machine operation and maintenance
- Conduct testing, repairs, and capability studies at both GI and customer sites
- Provide remote technical support via phone and the internet
- Recommend and sell upgrades and spare parts (with commission opportunities!)
- Collaborate with a passionate team dedicated to excellence and innovation
What You Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel (passport preferred—don’t have one? We’ll help you get it!)
- U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to obligations under government contracts.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-first attitude
- Comfortable working independently under pressure
- Electrical and mechanical aptitude required, including use of multimeters and reading electrical/part prints
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience with Windows 10/11 hardware/software (XP/7 is a bonus!)

- Monday through Friday
- Must be willing to travel up-to 50% of the time
Work Location:
- Traveling domestically and internationally
- Onsite at General Inspection in Davisburg, MI. ( When not traveling )
