Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of gelato flavors, coffee drinks, and other beverages with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the café area, including food handling and preparation tasks
- Manage cash handling responsibilities with accuracy using retail math skills and basic math proficiency
- Assist with food preparation tasks to ensure timely delivery of orders during busy periods
- Promote sales by engaging with customers, upselling products, and creating a welcoming environment
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple orders efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and strong communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for cash handling and retail transactions accurately
- Experience in food service or café environments is desirable but not mandatory
- Reliable team player with a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
