Responsibilities
- Greets and welcomes guests at every turn on or off the floor; eye contact, engage in conversation, and be outgoing
- Offers warm and sincere welcome/farewell for all guests of Resort including use of guest name when possible & good eye contact with each guest.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the gelato car and surrounding seating area.
- Manage guest inquiries, complaints, or special requests with professionalism and efficiency.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures.
- Effectively communicate with peers, management, line, and front-of-the-house employees
- Practice effective listening: (seek to understand)
- Perform related duties as required.
- Be responsible for the cleanliness of the immediate work area as well as the general property.
- Adhere to proper grooming, dress and uniform standards as set forth by Resort policy as well as safety food handling procedures.
- Ensure assigned uniform and personal appearance are well kept and professional.
- Be courteous to all guests and coworkers.
- Maintain behavior consistent with sexual harassment/hostile work environment policy dictated in the Employee Handbook
- Opens and closes pos/register, performing tasks such as counting tickets, separating charge slips, vouchers, ensuring all checks are properly balanced and turning in reconciliation envelopes with all proper paperwork and shift reset.
- Maintains a strong knowledge of outlet inventory
- Fill out daily and weekly inventories of supplies, report if any equipment or supplies is damaged
- Answer questions on menu selections to guests.
- Complete opening and closing duties, including equipment maintenance of refrigeration unit, proper cleaning, packaging and storage of food items, storage of supplies in assigned area.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
- Perform proper check-in/check-out procedure with Manager on duty. Update management on any inventory or equipment concerns, guest feedback and completion of duties.
- Maintain proper posture and friendly demeanor while performing job duties, utilizing personal devices only for work communication, inventories.
- Assist in completing other daily tasks for Pools Department as assigned.

- Experience, Education, & Licensure
- High School Diploma or GED recommended.
- Some College experience or Degree recommended.
- Previous Host experience in a professional setting is preferred.
- This position requires working outside in various weather conditions
