Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting their favorite ice cream products from the truck menu
- Operate POS systems to process retail sales transactions efficiently and accurately
- Prepare and serve ice cream cones, sundaes, floats, and other frozen treats following food safety standards
- Manage customer orders with quick service, ensuring timely delivery during busy periods
- Maintain a clean and sanitized workspace, including cleaning utensils, containers, and the truck’s serving area
- Handle cash register operations, process cash and card payments, and process cash transactions with accuracy
- Upsell additional toppings or specialty items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation, food handling, or food service environments such as quick service or fast food restaurants
- Familiarity with POS systems for retail transactions
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse customers
- Excellent time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and maintain sanitation standards
- Basic math skills for processing cash transactions and retail math calculations
- Previous experience in retail sales transactions or cashiering is a plus
- Knowledge of food safety management practices to ensure proper handling and sanitation standards are met
