Insurance Defense Litigation Associate

A well-established Central Florida law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience to join its growing litigation practice. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who enjoys handling cases from inception through resolution while working in a collaborative and client-focused environment.
What You'll Do
- Manage a diverse insurance defense caseload through all phases of litigation
- Draft and respond to written discovery
- Take and defend depositions
- Prepare and argue motions and attend court hearings
- Draft pleadings, motions, legal memoranda, and correspondence
- Participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and case strategy discussions
- Prepare matters for trial and maintain strong client communication throughout the litigation process
What The Firm Is Looking For
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar
- 3 years of insurance defense litigation experience
- Experience handling depositions, hearings, motion practice, and mediations
- Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple matters independently while collaborating with a team
