Position Summary
Career Readiness Learning Objectives:
Critical Thinking- The student worker will gather and analyze the information from the literature and identify the proper solution to the existing problems. It is expected that the student worker will summarize and interpret experimental data, and also prioritize the action steps.
Communication- The student worker is expected to improve writing skills by drafting project reports and/or manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals. The student is also expected to attend workshops or conferences to present their results, which can further strengthen their communication skills.
Provide research and lab support in the Biomedical Engineering Department. The position is estimated at 10 hours per week. The days and times required will vary based on project responsibilities and needs.

Required Qualifications
This position requires a sophomore/junior/senior engineering major or engineering graduate student.
Preferred Qualifications
Biomedical Engineering students are preferred. Successful completion of chemistry/biology courses and chemistry/biology lab and 3-D printing experience would be an asset. Knowledge of basic programming is an asset.
Physical Demands
This position requires minimal physical demands, but applicants should be able to safely lift 50 pounds and sit and/or stand for extended periods.
