Overview
A leading international law firm is seeking a Mid-Level M&A Associate to join its New York office. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated public and private company mergers and acquisitions, advising clients on complex corporate transactions while collaborating with experienced partners and senior associates in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage workstreams for public and private company mergers and acquisitions under partner and senior associate supervision
- Draft, review, and negotiate transaction documents, including principal agreements and ancillary closing documents
- Support transaction execution, including due diligence, signings, closings, and post-closing matters
- Advise clients on corporate law, corporate governance, and general transactional matters
- Collaborate with cross-functional practice groups to support complex corporate transactions
Qualifications
- J.D., LL.M., or foreign equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years of experience handling public and private company mergers and acquisitions at a law firm
- Experience drafting and negotiating transaction documents and supporting complex M&A transactions
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, corporate governance, and due diligence processes
- Excellent drafting, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Admission to the New York Bar is required
Compensation & Benefits
The expected salary range for this position is $225,000β$435,000, depending on class year and experience. The firm also offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), paid time off, retirement benefits, wellness programs, and other competitive benefits.
