Senior Mechanical Engineer | Charlotte, NC
We're partnering with an award-winning MEP consulting engineering firm that is looking to add an experienced Mechanical Engineer to its growing Charlotte team.
This is an opportunity to work on high-profile local and national commercial projects, taking ownership of projects from initial design through construction closeout while collaborating with a talented multidisciplinary team.
What You'll Do:
✔ Design HVAC air distribution and hydronic systems
✔ Perform heating and cooling load calculations
✔ Size and select major mechanical equipment
✔ Design and specify automatic temperature control systems
✔ Design plumbing and fire protection systems
✔ Participate in construction administration
✔ Assist with project management and attend client meetings
✔ Guide projects through every phase of design and construction
What We're Looking For:
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 years of HVAC/mechanical design experience in the built environment
• Experience delivering commercial building projects from design through construction
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, plumbing, fire protection, and building/energy codes
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit
• Excellent communication and client-facing skills
• PE License and LEED AP are preferred but not required
