Job Description – Quality Manager
The Quality Manager leads all quality-related activities, ensuring compliance with IATF 16949, ISO9001, and other standards. This role oversees customer complaints, corrective actions, audits, and quality systems, while driving continuous improvement and supporting new product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and ensure compliance with EQMS and quality standards (IATF, ISO, etc.)
- Lead customer quality issues, audits, and corrective/preventive actions
- Manage APQP, PPAP, supplier quality, and change management processes
- Oversee internal/external audits and certification (ISO9001, IATF16949, ISO14001, etc.)
- Drive problem-solving using 8D, 5 Why, FMEA, SPC, and other quality tools
- Lead cross-functional teams and continuous improvement initiatives
- Manage Quality Assurance team performance and development
- Monitor quality metrics, including COPQ, and report to leadership
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 5–10 years engineering experience; 5 years in quality, 3–5 years in leadership
- IATF 16949 Lead Auditor (required); CQE/CQM preferred
- Strong knowledge of quality tools (FMEA, PPAP, SPC, etc.)
- Experience with Minitab/JMP and strong communication skills
Work Environment:
- Onsite role with ~30% time on manufacturing floor
