Heavy Civil Project Manager

Position Summary:
The Heavy Civil Project Manager plans, directs, and delivers construction projects to meet safety, schedule, quality, and financial objectives. Responsible for multiple projects (or single projects >$5M), this role supervises project teams, may oversee Assistant Project Managers, and maintains positive client and subcontractor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Heavy civil construction management (earthwork, roadways, utilities, drainage)
- Review proposals, estimates, contracts, scopes of work, and implement contract revisions with clients.
- Collaborate with superintendents to develop, approve, and monitor work plans, schedules (CMP/short-term), and resource allocations.
- Prepare and update estimates, budgets, progress schedules, purchase orders, subcontracts, and monthly progress reports.
- Track percent complete, billings, production rates, forecasts, and approve change orders and requisitions.
- Coordinate permitting, inspections, utility coordination, shop drawings, and vendor/subcontractor procurement.
- Identify and manage claims, safety issues, and project risks with Risk Management and Safety Director.
- Support estimating, employee evaluations, timesheet review, and use project software on Windows.
- Must commute across Florida; degree in Construction Management/Civil Engineering (or equivalent) plus 5 years’ relevant experience.
