Construction Project Engineer
Location: Gresham, OR (97030) | Type: Full-Time
Role Overview
The Project Engineer (PE) is the administrative and operational core of our construction projects. Working alongside Project Managers, Superintendents, and Quality Control Managers, the PE manages site documentation, safety compliance, quality assurance, and project execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administration & Project Controls
- Document Control: Maintain the "Single Source of Truth" in Procore, including drawing updates, RFIs, submittals, and ASIs.
- Contracts & Changes: Help track change orders, calculate ROM pricing, issue RFPs, and process subcontracts & POs.
- Submittals & RFIs: Create, track, and close out all submittals, schedules, RFIs, and daily logs.
- Billing & Meetings: Assist with owner billings, subcontractor payments, and tracking meeting minutes.
- Closeout: Collect and deliver final project closeout packages.
2. Quality Control (QC)
- Permits: Apply for, maintain, and close out local government and site-specific permits.
- Inspections & Punch Lists: Coordinate site inspections and track punch lists to completion in Procore.
3. Health, Safety & Environment (EHS)
- Safety Documentation: Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Activity Hazard Analyses (AHA), and ICRA/PCRA plans.
- Compliance: Assist with site safety audits, incident tracking, and subcontractor safety compliance.
Requirements
- Core Skills: Solid knowledge of construction practices and project documentation workflows.
- Tech Proficiency: Hands-on experience with construction management software (preferably Procore).
- Legal/Compliance: Valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and ability to pass a Federal background check.
- Soft Skills: Excellent written/verbal communication, self-driven, and highly collaborative.
