A well-established and highly respected law firm in the DC metro area is seeking an Attorney to join its growing litigation team. This opportunity offers hands-on courtroom experience, direct client interaction, and long-term career growth within a collaborative and professional environment.
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to independently litigate and try cases while also working closely with firm partners on complex matters as second chair counsel.
Responsibilities
- Handle litigation matters from inception through resolution
- Manage and try your own cases independently
- Serve as second chair on partner-led litigation matters
- Conduct legal research, drafting, discovery, and motion practice
- Communicate directly with clients and maintain strong client relationships
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and support staff in a team-oriented environment
- Prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents
Qualifications
- 3 years of litigation experience preferred
- Strong writing, communication, and analytical skills
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Desire to build a long-term legal career within a respected law firm
- Energetic, professional, and team-oriented mindset
- Licensed to practice in the District of Columbia and Maryland and/or Virginia
- Admission to all three Bars (DC, MD, and VA) is a plus
