This role manages the full cycle accounts receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, and account reconciliations. Responsibilities
- Process and issue accurate customer invoices
- Post customer payments (checks, ACH, credit card, wire transfers)
- Monitor AR aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts
- Support credit evaluations and terms in partnership with the Credit Manager
- Assist with month-end close and AR account reconciliations
- Research and resolve payment discrepancies, short pays, and unapplied cash
- Maintain accurate customer account records
- Prepare AR reports and updates on collections and risk exposure
- Partner with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service on billing issues
- Support process improvements and audit requests
- Assist with special projects as assigned
- Prior internship, co-op, or office/accounting experience preferred, not required
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other Office applications
- Ability to learn new systems quickly
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Team-oriented with a willingness to learn and grow
- Strong customer service orientation with ability to handle confidential information
