What are the responsibilities and job description for the Risk Advisor & Producer - Commercial Insurance position at Fullsteam?
Fullsteam Insurance is a specialty commercial brokerage built for the industries most brokers don't understand — tech, aviation, media, entertainment, robotics, and beyond. We help founders and operators protect what they're building, and we do it without the stale, slow, jargon-heavy experience the insurance world is known for. Our proprietary technology reduces 99% of the work most agents spend their time on (data input, underwriting, quoting, proposing, COI's, et.c), so our producers can advise more clients and make more money.
We're looking for a Risk Advisor & Producer to own client relationships end-to-end: prospecting, structuring programs, placing coverage, and being the trusted advisor our clients actually want to call.
What you'll do
- Build and manage a book of commercial clients
- Close in-bound leads from referral partners (we have a ton of daily leads so you'll be busy Day 1)
- Develop new business through outbound efforts, referrals, and your own network
- Translate complex risk into clear, actionable coverage recommendations
- Structure and negotiate programs across GL, property, cyber/E&O, management liability, and specialty lines
- Partner with carriers and wholesalers to find the right markets for hard-to-place risks
- Deliver a high-touch, founder-friendly client experience from quote to renewal
What we're looking for
- Active P&C license (or willing to obtain quickly)
- 2 years in commercial insurance, brokerage, or a related sales role (we'll consider sharp people newer to the industry with the right hustle)
- Strong communication skills and genuine comfort building relationships
- Self-starter energy — you don't wait to be told what to do
- Bonus: existing book of business

Compensation
- First-year draw / ramp guarantee available for the right candidate
- Base salary depending on experience, plus uncapped commission
- Commission split of 50% on new business and 50% on renewals — you eat what you kill, and there's no ceiling
