Production Assistant

Location: Gilroy, CA

Pay Rate: $22.00 / hour

Job Type: Full-time

Schedule: Monday to Friday (All shifts available: Day, Swing, and Night)

Job Summary

We are seeking motivated and reliable Warehouse Production Assistants to join our growing team in Gilroy, CA. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our daily operations, ensuring production goals are met safely and efficiently. Whether you are looking for morning, afternoon, or night shifts, we have a schedule that fits your lifestyle!

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with Production Supervisors to understand all production department schedules.
• Work closely with Production Supervisors to schedule overtime assignments of production employees.
• Work closely with Production Supervisors to correct Time Clock errors of production employees (missing punches, meal break penalties, etc.).
• Data entry of departmental safety trainings.
• Work with Supervisors to hand out necessary PPE and other job-related attire/gear/equipment to employees.
• Maintain document control process.
• Assume additional responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Demonstrates good interpersonal communication skills.
• Performs all duties in a safe and efficient manner.
• Promptly reports any unsafe working conditions.
• Ability to gain proficiency in computer operations such as Excel and SAP.
• Excellent verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing organizational and operational needs.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, in a fast-paced environment.
• Skill in organization and prioritization, and attention to detail.
• Strong team player and leader with the ability to work across multiple functions and disciplines.
• Self-starter, self-motivated.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish), but not required

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This position works in the Production area with extended use of the computer/ keyboarding and sitting, standing, and walking, as well as use of other office equipment such as phone, two-way radio, and copier. This position may be exposed to a potentially dangerous manufacturing environment with moving equipment/vehicles, and may be exposed to extreme temperatures, dust, and loud noises. May be asked to work overtime, if needed.
