What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Supervisor position at FTTDC - Ohio Logistics?
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor product handling, quality control activities, and overall product integrity.
- Review operational efficiency and quality performance.
- Assist in developing guidance procedures, best practices, checklists, and process documentation.
- Evaluate existing procedures and recommend improvements.
- Verify all over/short/damage (OS&D) loads and complete follow‑up actions.
- Conduct load audits in partnership with supervisors.
- Investigate pallet “skips” and ensure proper documentation.
- Coordinate and execute full inventory counts, including annual physical inventories:
- Assign team members
- Schedule count days
- Investigate discrepancies
- Communicate findings with office administration
- Perform cycle counts and report results; partner with management and customers to meet weekly count requirements.
- Lead damaged freight processes including communication, documentation, and floor storage coordination.
- Understand and follow customer‑specific processes and requirements.
- Support development of new customer SOPs and complete quarterly SOP reviews.
- Maintain physical inventory organization, ensuring rows are aligned and products are in sequence.
- Conduct root cause analysis on customer complaints and quality failures.
- Assist with general facility maintenance and housekeeping oversight.
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred, not required.
- 3–5 years of experience in inventory control; WMS experience preferred.
- Forklift experience required (certification provided upon hire).
