The Commercial Account Executive is an outside sales representative that will be tasked to find new clients while also growing existing relationships. The primary offerings will be access control, IP based CCTV and intrusion systems. This individual will cover North Texas as their primary territory with minimal overnight travel responsibilities.
Essential Duties:
- Establish new customers through prospecting, referrals or other lead sharing networking groups.
- Create and engineer new security system designs to meet customer needs.
- Present system designs to decision makers to obtain a purchase commitment.
- Provide customer service throughout the purchasing process for both internal and external customers.
- Coordinate installations with internal operations and service teams to ensure a successful project.
- Work closely with suppliers to stay current on new technologies, so they can be presented to clients.
- Additional duties may be assigned and functions may be modified according to business necessity.
Desired Background:
- College Degree Preferred, must have High School Diploma or GED.
- 3-5 years' of experience in outside business to business sales in either security, telecom or other related technology field.
- Proficient computer skills in order to create customer proposals, system estimates and customer presentations.
- Experience with access control, IP based CCTV and intrusion systems preferred.
- Must be a U.S. citizen to meet government contract requirements.
Abilities:
- Capable of achieving a minimum quota of $1,000,000 with a target average of $1,500,000 in annual sales.
- A proven track record of similar success.
- Must have strong customer service skills and be able to apply tact, diplomacy, reason and logic to challenging situations.
- Must be a self-starter, hunter, and a strong closer.
