Position Summary:
The Senior Land Development Manager will oversee all phases of land development, including due diligence, entitlement, design, budgeting, and construction of residential communities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and deep knowledge of local regulations, permitting processes, and site development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple land development projects from acquisition through final lot delivery
- Oversee due diligence, feasibility analysis, and budgeting for new land opportunities
- Coordinate with internal teams, engineers, consultants, and municipalities
- Lead entitlement and permitting processes, ensuring compliance with local regulations
- Prepare and manage development schedules and budgets
- Monitor construction progress, quality, and costs; resolve issues proactively
- Negotiate contracts with vendors, contractors, and service providers
- Provide regular project updates to executive leadership
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, or related field
- 8 years of experience in land development, preferably with a homebuilder or developer
- Strong understanding of Seattle-area zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations
- Proven experience managing large-scale residential development projects
- Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Proficiency in project management software and budgeting tools
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
